First of all THANK YOU for 1000 subscribers!!!
In this video we take you along with us to the old town in Chiang Mai to give you a rough outline on what our average costs are for the month, whilst recommending various different options of housing, food and transport!

The old town is an amazing place to spend your time walking down so many side allies discovering little hidden gems along the way!

These costs will obviously vary from person to person depending on your lifestyle but we normally spend under $800 per month as a couple and still have some left over for snacks! You can pay way more or way less if you really wanted to!

Covered in this video:
Apartment – (+ water and electricity) Old town is cheaper (hostels and smaller condos) and Nimman is more modern and slightly more expensive
Food – we usually order in because Thai food is delicious and cheap but you can cook yourself while buying ingredients from the fresh market!
Transport – We rent a motorbike monthly but you can use a Grab taxi or a Songthaew (van taxi)
Entertainment – (Mostly coffee lol) This includes possible tours or eating at restaurant or coffee shops
Phone bills – We trust AIS for fast reliable service, we receive unlimited data for only 200 baht per month! ($6.40)

Apartment: 7500 baht ($240)
Food: 9000 ($288)
Bike plus petrol: 2500 ($80)
Insurance: 2500 ($80)
Entertainment: 2000 ($64)
Phone bill: 200 ($7)
Total: 23 700 baht ($760)

Others added in costs: Miscellaneous, household items, tours(occasional) and insurance.
